A local politician will serve a 90-minute suspension from State Parliament today after he stormed out over the new West Gippsland Hospital.
Member for Narracan Wayne Farnham demanded a firm date on when a new hospital would be built at a greenfield site in Drouin East - stating "a date is what my community is after".
However, his request to Minister for Health Mary-Anne Thomas last month again failed to attract an answer.
Speaking over the top of Ms Thomas, a clearly frustrated Mr Farnham repeatedly said "I just want a straight answer."
