A late night ice cream thief has been left empty handed in Drouin.
Police said Three Ways Takeaway on Main South Rd was broken into at about 3.20am on Friday.
It is believed a double sided hammer was used to break a back window to gain access to an ice cream freezer. However, the freezer was empty at the time.
The occupant of the unit above the milk bar was woken during the incident.
Police said blood located at the site indicated the offender may have sustained cuts during the break in.
