A 21-year-old Drouin man has been remanded in custody after being linked to burglaries at multiple sporting and community facilities.
Police allege the man was located with a wheelbarrow filled with stolen tools from Warragul Croquet Club in Anderson St on Friday morning. Other items were seized and linked to previous burglaries.
He was arrested and remanded. Facing 17 charges of handling stolen goods, he was further remanded at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Police said a hole was cut in a fence to gain access to Warragul Croquet Club.
A lock appeared to be cut off the club's maintenance shed, with a whipper snipper, hedge trimmer, blower, battery chargers, garden cart and other tools reported stolen.
Police saw the 21-year-old man pushing a wheelbarrow at about 5am on Friday.
He will return to Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on Friday, November 28.
