Longwarry has reason to celebrate after its $5 million pavilion development headlined a list of future investment projects supported by Baw Baw Shire Council.
The long-awaited pavilion upgrade at the recreation reserve is pencilled in to start in 2026/27 within the shire's draft long term infrastructure plan, a strategic document setting out projects for the next 10 years.
However, a listing in the LTIP is no guarantee of work on the ground - just ask Trafalgar, who had its second oval development scrapped 12 months ago.
After the disappointment of being cut, the $4 million oval project is back on the list, giving hope work could commence in 2026/27.
