Five experts on native bush management will speak at a free event in Yarragon on Saturday, August 17.
Springsure Hill Landcare Group will host the event titled "Caring for Bush Area on Your Property" at the Yarragon Hall.
The event will cover topics such as why should you actively manage bush areas as well as how to control common weeds and pests, landowner stories and typical issues that come with bush management.
Landcare Australia chair Doug Humann will be keynote speaker. He was previously head of Bush Heritage Australia.
Ben Cullen from Trust for Nature will also visit from Melbourne.
Gippsland speakers are Peter Mulherin and Penny Richards from Land Covenantors Victoria, along with Carol Ferguson who was a long serving supervisor of the natural environment at Baw Baw Shire.
Running from 9am to 1pm, Springsure Hill Landcare Group planned this event to benefit people across Gippsland. Registrations have already come in from as far afield as the Mornington Peninsula.
