Indoor swimming is back

The indoor pools at the Warragul Leisure Centre will reopen tomorrow, a week ahead of the planned opening date.

Both the indoor and outdoor pools will operate on a reduced schedule for the next week, before returning to normal opening hours from Wednesday, November 4.

From tomorrow, the 25-metre indoor pool, indoor program, splash park and group fitness classes (in and out of the water) will resume.

The centre will open on weekdays from 6am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 9am to 7.30pm. The warm water pool will also be available to all visitors on weekdays from 8.30am to 7.30pm and Saturdays from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Normal opening hours will commence from Wednesday, November 4 – weekdays from 6am to 8pm and weekends from 8am to 6pm.

A range of safety measures will be in place for all visitors, including temperature checks, bookings and social distancing measures.

Up to 20 patrons can be in the indoor pools and 15 in the warm water pool at any time, with spectators and carers required to maintain social distancing and wear masks at all times.

Casual one-hour sessions are $7.40 for adults and $5.90 for child/concession, with 10-visit passes and memberships available.

Baw Baw Shire Council said it would continue to monitor the situation with regards to current restrictions and will keep the community updated.
