West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking community input as it develops a new strategic plan that will help guide the organisation's development to 2028.
The community can participate by completing a feedback survey now or joining an online meeting on June 30.
The strategic plan, titled Connecting, to Care 2028, is part of the organisation's commitment to continuously improve and advance its health services to better meet community needs.
It considers the region's challenges and opportunities, including the projected population growth, the population's make-up and health needs, the organisation's workforce, and critical partnerships.
WGHG interim chief executive Shannon Wight said the organisation believed the best ideas came from collaboration and diverse perspectives and encouraged people to share their insights.
"The community's feedback is important to us and we want to hear about what matters most to the people who live in this region and use the health service. We are grateful to those who can take the time to contribute," she said.
Connecting, to Care 2028 follows on from WGHG's 2019-2024 strategic plan.
Between 2019 and 2023, the region's population grew faster than the state average. It now sits at 2.09 per cent growth per year and is projected to pass the state average again over the next decade. "A lot changes in three years and over the coming years, while the organisation focuses on achieving the strategy, we will need to regularly consider our environment to ensure implementation remains on track.
"We need to be ready and able to respond to change, unexpected challenges and new opportunities if required, ensuring we continue delivering safe, quality care.
"Doing that effectively means collaborating with our community, our workforce and our partners," she said.
The community feedback survey is open until June 30. Share your insights by scanning the below QR code to complete the survey.
There also will be an online community meeting on June 30 at 5pm. To register your interest go to: https://forms.office.com/r/mduRTBX472
