Police are investigating if two burglaries at residential properties in Drouin last Friday are linked.
The first burglary occurred at a property in Francis Ave between 8:30am and 3:40pm.
Access was gained by forcing open the front door, causing about $500 damage.
Police reported that cupboards and wardrobes were searched and a watch valued at $100 was stolen.
The second incident occurred in Princes Way between 9am and 10:40pm.
Access was gained via the front door. No one was home at the time. The victim returned home to find the front door open.
Police said drawers and cupboards in most rooms were searched, leaving behind a mess.
Two ornamental swords and a bag were reported stolen. Police said the bag was most likely used to carry the stolen items away.
