Seeing a man asleep under a tree whilst touring the Cook Islands on holiday, Lardner resident Stephen Pratt cheekily quipped "you having a sleep, cobber?"
It was only on his return from a nearby beach that Stephen realised the man hadn't moved and he leapt into action.
His quick thinking to administer CPR saved the man's life and saw Stephen awarded a St John Ambulance's First Aid Champion Award last Tuesday at Marvel Stadium.
