
Five burglaries in Warragul, in the vicinity of Albert St, are believed to be linked.
Three business, a sporting club and a residential garage all reported break-ins to police between Friday night and Saturday morning. Two men were seen at two of the businesses.
A cash box containing $500 was reported stolen at Helix Hearing in Albert St between 12.20am and 12.30am on Saturday.
Police believe a brick or similar item was used to break a window and gain entry. Cupboards and drawers were searched through in the reception area.
A cash drawer was removed at Milestone Chemicals in June Crt between 5pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday.
Similarly, police believe a rock was used to smash a hole in a glass front door to allow it to be unlocked. An office was ransacked, with the cash drawer stolen from a register.
Also in June Crt, scissors were used to open a front sliding door at Claas Harvest Centre.
Police said the burglary occurred at about 2am, with a pair of scissors left at the scene.
The office was ransacked, with $100 cash from the register, two mobile phones and a fuel card all reported stolen.
Footballs were stolen from the Eastern Park clubrooms in Normanby St at 7.24am on Saturday.
Police believe an external toilet door was forced open at the clubrooms, which allowed internal access. Three doors were left ajar and a fourth was damaged after what appeared to be failed attempts to force entry.
A residential garage also was rummaged through in Albert St.
Police said the owner found a roller door open on Saturday morning despite believing it was locked. Drawers had been rummaged through but nothing was reported stolen.
