Community Bank Drouin distributed another $26,000 to community groups at its June funds presentation, taking this financial year's contributions to the community and shareholders to almost $380,000.
In the past three financial years, Drouin and District Community Financial Services has returned $1.2 million via grants, donations, community investments and dividends to local shareholders.
Since the community bank opened 23 years ago, it has returned more than $7.2 million to the community.
Sponsorships were presented to 10 community group recipients including:
Warragul Bowling Club - assistance with cost of purchasing bowls for social and barefoot bowlers;
Hallora Marathon - sponsorship of the 2025 event;
Warragul Philatelic Society - sponsorship of the annual stamp and coin fair held in June;
Drouin Cricket Club - 2025/26 season sponsorship to help the club continue to provide new apparel and equipment, run programs and keep subscriptions as low as possible for families;
Warragul and District Historical Society - funds to replace a computer;
Ghostlight Theatre - sponsorship of the company's production of Little Women;
Gardivalia - sponsorship of the 2025 event;
West Gippsland Dance Festival - sponsorship of the 2025 event to be held in the September school holidays;
Warragul Municipal Band - funds to purchase a defibrillator; and,
Ellinbank Football Netball Club - funds to purchase a goal barrier net to ensure child safety, efficiency during games and safe carparking for spectators.
