A Drouin church was ransacked and cash stolen during a recent burglary.
Baw Baw Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives are investigating the burglary at the Drouin Anglican Church in Princes Way which occurred between 4.30pm on Saturday, June 21 and 8am on Sunday, June 22.
Detectives are unsure how entry was gained. Once inside, an electrical box was jimmied open and power switched off. A glass window was broken to open an office door.
A keysafe box was broken into, before the safe was opened and $1000 in cash stolen.
The church was ransacked but it appears nothing further was stolen.
