Residents ate Encore Retirement Living's Trafalgar Village recently hosted its annual Biggest Morning Tea in the recently opened Community Centre.
More than 125 residents and guests gathered to raise their cups and raise vital funds for the Cancer Council, with an impressive $2504 collected.
Encore Living generously matched the donations, bringing the total donated to the Cancer Council to $5008.
The day's fundraising featured a small entry fee, granting attendees access to a delightful spread of sweet and savoury treats. Guests praised the offering saying it was "the best spread ever." A minute's silence provided an opportunity for reflection, honouring those who had been touched by cancer.
The event concluded with a raffle, with lucky winners taking home a variety of prizes generously donated by local businesses.
The annual gathering was again a resounding success, thanks to the incredible support and generosity of all involved.
