A group of Gippslanders has been nominated for an award thanks to their passionate advocacy for the local LGBTQIA+ community.
Gippsland Pride Initiative Inc is a finalist in the 'Outstanding Advocacy' category at the GLOBE Victoria 2023 Victorian Pride Awards for its 'Rainbow Brick Road Project.'
The project sought to collect data about LGBTQIA+ people in Gippsland, surveying them about their experiences to help provide data that can be used to provide services that may be needed.
