The funds raised from this year's A Girls' Day Out event are already going to good use.
While the annual fundraising event focuses on breast cancer awareness, the local volunteer committee is always looking for ways it can give back to its local community.
After some investigation, the committee learned seven local schools did not have their onw defibrillator.
This year's A Girls' Day Out event held in May raised more than $135,000.
The purchase of defibrillators for seven local schools is just the beginning of the money being put to good use in the local community.
The schools to benefit from the donations included Drouin, Warragul North, Labertouche, Poowong Consolidated, Drouin South and Ellinbank Primary Schools and Blackwood Annexe.
