Gardivalia festival needs volunteers
1 min read

The Gardivalia festival of gardens needs volunteers.
The event brings people from all over the state and interstate to West Gippsland giving local businesses such as cafes, restaurants, accommodation and local shops a boost.
A number of gardens raise money for the local charities of their choice.
Gardivalia is suffering from the after effects of COVID.
The festival was unable to run for two years due to COVID and this year couldn't run due to a lack of volunteers.
For the Gardivalia event to run in spring 2023, there needs to be quite a few volunteers, as many hands make light work. No volunteers means the event cannot be run.
Gardivalia gives pleasure to all age groups where some are bused to the gardens and others drive to enjoy a great day out.
The event also attracts members of garden clubs and sustainability groups who are looking for ideas for garden design, sustainability and plants for their own and community gardens.
Many gardens have orchards and vegetable gardens.
The event is ideal for families looking for a day out as children have free entry and there is always free parking.
If you would like to know more about the event and how you can help as a volunteer, contact Maree 0403 449179.
All volunteers are welcome.
