Get ready for inspiring stories of resilience to make you think, feel and laugh at a free event "Paint the Town Green".
Local charity Mindfull Aus is bringing Mark McConville from interstate to speak at the West Gippsland Arts Centre on Friday night.
Australia's only full-time comedian with a master's degree in suicidology, Mark will offer his insightful "Laughter Clinic" presentation that balances suicide prevention education, humour and laughter.
He will be joined by mindset and wellbeing advocate Katrina Gurciullo and MC Cr Ben Lucas in the Fountain Room for the event sponsored by Baw Baw Big Blokes.
Mindfull Aus chief executive officer Matt Runnalls said the free event was limited to 200 people and was suitable for ages 18 plus.
"We all live with, work with, or love someone who'll face challenges with their mind, behavioural or emotional health - let's be proactive and show we care," Matt said.
He said both Mark and Katrina were engaging speakers with very different skill sets. This ensures all attendees walk away with new perspectives and skills sets to benefit themselves or others in the community.
Katrina is a passionate advocate for growth and human potential. Combining lived experience with storytelling, she will inspire the audience to rise above adversity.
Having survived a life-threatening accident overseas, she shares the strength of mindset, perspective and connection whilst equipping the audience with tools to build resilience and unlock their potential.
Whilst a free event, registration is urged due to a 200-person attendance limit and light catering to take home.
Doors will open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start. The night will conclude at 8pm.
