Farmers from around West Gippsland have attended four free community barbecues over recent weeks for the Look Over the Farm Gate – Help a Mate initiative in Buln Buln, Longwarry, Trafalgar and Neerim South.
The final session of the series will be held at Ellinbank on Thursday.
Th events aim to bring primary producing families together to support each other during the stresses of farming in dry season conditions, as well as provide access to important support resources.
Mayor Danny Goss said the sense of community amongst local farmers was obvious.
