A photographic exhibition of the 2019 Bunyip Complex Bushfires has opened at the Cardinia Cultural Centre.
Titled 'Emerging from Fire', the exhibition has been curated by the Cardinia Shire Council and is intended to be an opportunity to reflect on the community's resilience as it moves forward.
Photographic submissions were open to the public and closed in early July. Individuals were able to submit up to six photographs for consideration by the shire's curation panel.
The images set to feature in the exhibition are works from both amateur and professional photographers, as well as residents, emergency responders and other individuals.
Photographs features will be directly related to the 2019 fires or the associated relief and recovery efforts.
Emerging from Fire is now open and will run until Sunday, September 11.
