Drugs, weapons seized by police

A commercial quantity of drugs and prohibited weapons were allegedly seized during a vehicle search in Warragul on Sunday morning.
Police said the vehicle was seen parked under a street light in Albert Rd at about 5.45am.
They allege a 37-year-old Cranbourne man was in the passenger seat and the driver, a 30-year-old Korumburra woman, was nearby.
Conducting a vehicle search, police allegedly located 89g of drugs, believed to be methamphetamine, as well as prohibited weapons including a taser, baton and slingshot. Mobile phones and $1000 in cash also were seized.
The Cranbourne man was charged and remanded to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court yesterday.
The Korumburra woman was charged and bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on Monday, August 25.
