Church organisations from across Baw Baw Shire recently hosted shire councillors at a dinner to pray for them and give blessing to help them make wise decisions.
Pastor Keith Gillam said more than 20 churches were represented at the dinner at the Black Tie function centre in Warragul, the third time such an occasion had been held, although the 2021 dinner could not be held due to COVID.
Church attendees appreciated an address by mayor Danny Goss who highlighted the challenges council had in serving the community and stated appreciation for the support the shire received from the local Christian community.
Also participating in the formalities of the evening were Reverend Dean Spalding from Trafalgar Anglican Church, Reverend Gospel Ralte of Neerim South Uniting and Anglican church, Pastor Janey Boyes from Hope Church at Drouin, Pastor Tim Curtis of Rope Factory Church at Warragul and Father Brendan Hogan from the Warragul and Drouin Catholic churches.
