Road safety messages were delivered to local football and netball players over the weekend when a number of clubs threw their support behind the TAC's Road safety Round.
Police, SES volunteers and paramedic Jessica Newton were amongst the line-up of speakers to drive home the importance of road safety to junior players at the Warragul Blues Junior Football Club on Sunday.
The Blues hosted a number of activities with the key message - "show up for your team, slow down on the road."
The junior club see it as an opportunity to empower young players to develop a culture where all players and families consider road safety before getting behind the wheel.
Warragul Football Netball Club led the conversation during the week when it hosted Major Collision Investigation Unit detective sergeant Mark Amos to address the club who revealed some harsh realities and shared horrific images of real car accidents.
The club continued the important conversations in the lead up to Saturday's matches with a series of social media messages.
All players wore blue armbands in honour of those impacted by road crash trauma.
