Carjacking in Yarragon

A man was thrown from his car during an alleged carjacking at a Yarragon petrol station on Thursday night.
Detectives allege the 21-year-old victim was approached by a man and woman brandishing an axe and a pole at the United Service Station on Princes Hwy at about 9.30pm.
They said the incident occurred as the victim exited the petrol station and returned to his car which was parked in front of the business.
Whilst sitting inside, police allege the victim was approached by the duo before the man grabbed him and threw him out of the vehicle.
The car, a grey 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer with registration plates "WNE 636", was driven away towards Warragul.
It was later involved in an evade police incident in Warragul on Normanby St at 10.10pm.
The car was recovered in Glengarry North on Friday at 9am. Registration plates were missing.
