Security cameras have alerted residents in Longwarry and Warragul to attempted burglaries over the weekend.
In both cases, police allege a male wearing a hoodie and shorts was caught on CCTV attempting door handles of vehicles in driveways.
Once alerted, the residents were able to disturb the man and he ran off.
Police allege the attempted burglaries occurred in Date Palm St, Longwarry at about 7.30pm on Sunday and Bowen St, Warragul at about 11.15pm on Friday.
It is not known if the incidents are related.
Inspector Peter Fusinato said it was a regular occurrence in Baw Baw and urged residents to lock up and be mindful of opportunistic crimes.
