Call for intersection safety review

Police have called for an assessment of a Warragul South intersection after a vehicle and milk tanker collided on Tuesday morning.
The police action supports calls from nearby residents who said the Warragul-Korumburra Rd and Wrights Rd intersection was an accident waiting to happen.
Baw Baw Highway Patrol acting sergeant Nicole Beames said police were concerned about the layout of the intersection.
"We have been in contact with the Department of Transport to do an assessment," she said.
Acting sgt Beames said the length of the milk tanker meant the intersection wasn't clear when a Toyota four-wheel-drive vehicle approached from the north.
The collision occurred at 8.47am last Tuesday, July 1.
