Anything Goes for Venturers
1 min read

More than 1200 Venturer Scouts and leaders invaded Lardner Park from recently for Scouts Victoria's annual Venturer Camp - Anything Goes.
Venturers and leaders from across the state gathered for the annual event which was held February 24 to 26.
The Anything Goes (AG) Camp was the ultimate showcase of many exciting opportunities available to young people in scouting.

Venturer Scouts (aged 14 to 18-years-old) enjoyed a jam-packed weekend of adventure and fun.
With a diverse range of on-site activities including abseiling, crate stacking, and even pedal-powered smoothies, the event also offered thrilling off-site experiences such as scuba diving, 4WD, mountain biking, and white water rafting.
For those seeking a high-flying challenge, the Melbourne Cable Park offered both high ropes and an aqua park, while Gumbaya World provided plenty of sunshine and smiles.
Scouts Victoria chief commissioner Rod Byrnes said scouts offered young people an unparalleled opportunity to learn new skills, develop their leadership abilities, and build resilience in a fun and supportive environment.
"This Venturer camp is a perfect example of the incredible experiences available to young people in scouting," he said.
The camp was run by older youth members, providing a unique opportunity for Venturers to develop their leadership skills and gain valuable experience in event planning and execution.
One Venturer described the rave on Saturday night as "the best night of my life", showing that scout events aren't just about building skills and resilience, but also creating lifelong memories and friendships.
