Two locally produced gins can now boast having a golden taste after proving to judges' likings at an international awards presentation.
With five entries in this year's Australian International Spirits Awards, Warragul based distillery Wild Dog was awarded two gold and three silver medals.
Wild Dog's Gary Surman believes the point of difference is the bush tucker garden that provides the secret ingredients for their specialised spirits.
"We have our own bush tucker garden so a number of the botanicals are used in our gins. It gives us that point of difference having the botanicals on site," he said.
