A local teacher was recently recognised as Australia's top home economics teacher of the year by the Home Economics Institute of Australia (HEIA).
Hannah Smith from Marist-Sion College was attending the national HEIA conference in South Australia when she was officially awarded Home Economics Teacher of the Year 2023-2024 for Australia, as well as the HEIA Home Economics Teacher of the Year 2023-2024 for Victoria.

The event brought together home economics teachers from across Austral
