Some of Australia's best Jersey cattle were on show at Logan Park for the Central Gippsland 62nd Jersey Fair recently.
Judge Roger Heath of Wanstead Jerseys had the job enviable to all - to officiate the quality show of 75 jerseys entered from all over Victoria and southern New South Wales.
Roger described the show as having 'world class cattle' and there wasn't an animal there he wouldn't be proud to own himself.
He also said the most rewarding part was his senior champion line up and how the cows wonderfully matched each other. He said it would go down as one of the best shows he had judged.
This year's show had a focus on catering with food that honoured dairy products. The Untethered Chef, Matt Wilson, cooked up a selection of food utilising premium dairy products donated by That's Amore Cheese, Gippsland Jersey and Bulla Family Dairy - along with Gippsland Jersey vans' Jersey milkshakes.
The annual Jersey Fair has rapidly grown in strength and is well supported by spectators, the dairy industry and exhibitors that travel from across Victoria and New South Wales to attend.
With the generous support of businesses, more than $7000 in prizemoney was on offer.
