The Warragul Beefcheque group is running a forum about buying and selling a farm property.
The forum will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 10am at Gippsland Community College, 71 Warragul Korumburra Rd, Warragul.
A variety of speakers, experts in their fields will inform and guide farmers through the pleasures and pitfalls of buying and selling,
The day will begin with a presentation from local chartered accountant Ryan Percy who will present on the financial and tax implications of buying and selling and some options available.
A panel discussion also will be held with a number of farming families that are either in, or just completed the process of buying or selling their properties. This may provide some insights into the realities of the process.
After lunch, Alex Scott & Co. senior property consultant Alan Steenholt will address the forum. Alan has lived in Warragul and worked with Alex Scott & Co for a number of years.
Alan will discuss the subject of presenting a property for sale, how to assess the value of your property and how to optimise the returns as well as what to be aware of when buying a property
All speakers will be available to take questions, either during the forum or later in private. Community members are welcome to attend and maybe gain some information on this important subject.
Morning tea and coffee will be provided but participants are asked to take their own lunch.
