Applications for the Women on Agricultural Boards program are now open.
The Australian Women in Agriculture (AWiA) initiative is dedicated to empowering women in agriculture to step into governance and leadership roles across the sector.
Now in its second year, the program is designed to equip women from all agricultural backgrounds with the confidence, knowledge, and networks needed to pursue board and committee positions at local, regional, and national levels.
"Women on Ag Boards is about more than training, it's about creating a pipeline of capable, confident women leaders who reflect the diversity and strength of the Australian agriculture industry," said AWiA acting president Cressida Cains.
Applications are open to all women in agriculture, including early to mid-career professionals, farmers, agribusiness employees, and those engaged in advocacy or community leadership.
Applications close on September 30 with the program beginning in January 2026.
