St Paul's Anglican Grammar School's Drouin campus has been recognised for its commitment to student health, achieving a Vic Kids Eat Well 'Big Bite' for its food and drink options on the canteen menu.
The Vic Kids Eat Well initiative encourages schools and community organisations to create healthier environments for children.
Teachers collaborated with health promoters from the West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) to make changes to the campus' canteen menu, giving students improved access to nutritious food and drink.
WGHG health promoters also visited students to provide them with information on how to make healthy choices.
St Paul's Drouin junior school head of campus Rowan van Raay said the decision to take part was driven by a belief that every child deserves the right to healthy choices during the school day.
"Vic Kids Eat Well gave us the perfect opportunity to make positive changes to our canteen menu to ensure our students are fuelled to learn, play, grow and thrive, and we are very proud of what we've achieved," he said.
The school's recognition marks an important step in promoting healthier lifestyles for young people across the community.
