Paramedic visits St Paul’s
1 min read

Students at St Paul's Anglican Grammar School's Drouin Early Learning Centre received a special visit from a valued member of the local community – paramedic Ellen Peters.
Ellen spoke with the children about her important role in caring for people who are sick or injured and transporting them safely to hospital.
The visit gave students a hands-on opportunity to explore the inside of an ambulance and learn about the equipment used to help patients in an emergency.
Excited little faces lit up as they climbed aboard the ambulance, even getting the chance to sit on the stretcher bed just like a real patient.
Experiences like this help to ease children's fears around emergency vehicles, which can sometimes feel a little scary when seen speeding past with flashing lights and loud sirens.
To finish off the visit, the children waved goodbye as Ellen drove off – lights flashing to the beat of the siren, leaving behind a group of young ambulance fans with a new appreciation for our everyday heroes.
