A new not-for-profit initiative has been launched to support female founders and business owners across the region.
West Gippsland Women was launched at Violet and Ivvy in Warragul, bringing together more than 60 women in business for a night of connection, inspiration, and community.
Co-founders Julie Parker, Elizabeth Banks, Kate Britton and Jane Sahhar welcomed guests with reflections on the highs and lows of business life - from the early days of start-ups to the realities of running brick-and-mortar stores or scaling larger ventures.
"Whether you're online, local, new to business or well established it can often feel like a lonely road. West Gippsland Women is about making sure no one has to walk it alone," " Jane Sahhar said.
Jane said there was a real buzz and energy in the room as conversations flowed and new connections formed.
Violet and Ivvy owner April Pyle said it was a "joy to see so many women connecting and feeling supported in their business journey."
West Gippsland Women was created with a simple mission - to foster community and create opportunities for connection, creativity and collaboration through events and shared experiences. The group plans to host a series of gatherings throughout the year, designed to help women in business feel more connected, seen, and supported.
