It follows a successful pilot of the course late last year.
Conducted over 10 weeks it introduced stude4nts to playing brass and percussions instruments, music reading and band etiquette.
QA grant from Baw Baw Shire council enabled the band to purchase new music and undertake maintenance of instruments.
At the conclusion of the 10 weeks the students, along with come members of the senior band, staged a short concert at which they performed four pieces.
The program for young people will be held again this year, as well as the re-establishment of the training band.
