A 12 year-old pianist from Warragul will make her television debut on ABC this week.
Molly Lais will appear in the fourth of a five-part series "The Piano" on May 25.
However, the show also can be watched now on ABC iview where all five episodes in the documentary series can be streamed.
Molly, who has been playing the piano since she was four-and-a-half years old, was excited when she was selected after seeing a casting call for the show and phoned in.
Also exciting for her was her first trip on an aeroplane, to Sydney, to film her part in what her mother and music teacher Peggy Lais describes as a "feel good documentary" in which cast members play the piano in public and talk about what the instrument means to them.
"The Piano" is hosted by Amanda Keller and participants were secretly watched by Harry Connick junior and world renowned concert pianist Andrea Lam who select one from each episode to play in a concert at the end of the series.
A bonus for Molly was that her pet budgerigar "Biscuit" also managed to score a role as an "extra."
A career in music seems well on the cards after recently week passing the AMusA (associate in music) from the Australian Music Examination Board, that her mother said was a significant milestone for someone of Molly's age.
