Music lovers across Gippsland are in for a treat this November when four local bands join forces to present two afternoon concerts, celebrating community music and local talent.
The Latrobe Community Concert Band, Morwell Citizens Band, West Gippsland Concert Band, and saxophone ensemble Saxsation will perform at the Yarragon Public Hall on Saturday, November 8 at 2pm, and again at the Moe Town Hall on Saturday, November 15 at 2pm.
Each band will perform its own selection of music before combining for a powerful massed performance to conclude the program.
The Latrobe Community Concert Band, established in 1921, and the Morwell Citizens Band, which dates back to 1887, are among the region's most enduring community ensembles, while the West Gippsland Concert Band, formed in 2024, represents a new generation of local musicians.
Saxsation adds a touch of smooth sophistication with its vibrant saxophone harmonies.
The concerts promise an afternoon of uplifting music, community spirit, and a celebration of Gippsland's rich musical heritage.
Entry is free and all are welcome to attend.
