The West Gippsland Arts Centre saw one of its biggest years since opening in 2023, hosting nearly 160 performances and 276 functions.
Baw Baw Shire reported revenue from ticket sales during the 2022/23 financial year increased about 50 per cent on the previous 12 months.
Two of the most popular shows of 2023 were Australian comedian Kitty Flanagan, with an audience of more than 730, and comedy duo Lano and Woodley, close behind with an audience of 724.
In May, the official opening of social enterprise café Coffee Vibes, increased the welcoming atmosphere of the WGAC and provided valuable employment opportunities for people with disabilities, the shire reported.
In 2024, nine daylight entertainment shows will be held at WGAC, encompassing a variety of styles and interests.
Ticket prices for daylight entertainment shows have been heavily reduced and complimentary tea and coffee will be served prior to each performance.
The daylight entertainment season kicks off with "I Love Paris" on Friday, February 23 at 11am.
