Kids show creativity in art tour
1 min read

Around 40 children and families visited the Trafalgar Public Hall on Thursday for the "NGV Kids on Tour" event run by Baw Baw Arts Alliance.
For the past six years, Baw Baw Arts Alliance members have committed to hosting free art activities for children and young people using the vibrant art program supplied by the National Gallery of Victoria.
The "NGV Kids on Tour" program is designed to ignite children's imagination and creativity, and encourage families to take advantage of exhibitions and activities run throughout the year at the NGV.
Each art activity on Thursday was based on exhibitions showing at the NGV, developed in collaboration with artists and designers.
BBAA treasurer Prue Barridge led the session alongside other alliance members, adding her own artistic stations to cater for the interests of all children.
Nine art stations were set up around the hall, including starfish decorating, creating snakes out of corrugated card and, popular favourite, designing prints with coloured shaving foam.
