Immerse yourself in an unforgettable night of entertainment on Friday, May 16 when "Get Rhythm - The Johnny Cash and June Carter Show" hits the West Gippsland Arts Centre stage.
Starring real-life married couple Mark and Joanne Caligiuri as Cash and Carter, "Get Rhythm" has made a name for itself as the most authentic Johnny Cash and June Carter show in Australia.
A strong focus on attention to detail, from their vocals and costumes to their stage presence, Mark and Joanne celebrate the life, love and music of Johnny Cash and June Carter.
"Our show pays respect to one of the most loved musical couples of all time, we want to bring to life the memories and music of these amazing people," Joanne said.
The couple both have musical backgrounds. Mark was a guitarist in various well-known bands throughout the 80s and 90s before starting a successful Elvis show in 1996.
Joanne got her musical start as a guitarist for her church band as a 14-year-old, before going on to be a lead vocalist in a rockabilly band.
The pair's mutual love for music of the 50s and 60s brought them together and shines through in their on-stage performances.
Much like the real Carter and Cash, Mark and Joanne travel and perform with their family. They are accompanied by Mark's sons Chris on the double bass and Lucas on the drums, as well as his cousin Adam Prozzo on lead guitar.
Audiences can look forward to Johnny Cash's biggest hits including "Folsom Prison Blues", "Ring Of Fire", "Walk The Line" and popular duets "Jackson" and "Long Legged Guitar Pickin' Man".
